Introduction to Bed and Breakfast Recipes

In February of 1997, my husband Gary and I and our family opened our door for business as the first successful bed and breakfast in New Ulm, MN, the Deutsche Strasse (German Street) Bed and Breakfast.  During these past 13 years our guests have commented on their enjoyment of the breakfast cuisine served here and I have shared many of the recipes that I use.  My goal is to someday publish a cookbook featuring many of these tried and true recipes as well as to include anecdotes from our many experiences in the hospitality business.

I am implementing a new category on our blog in which to publish some of the more popularily enjoyed and requested recipes.

Our breakfasts are also enjoyed with our signature blend coffee.  The beans are ground the morning on which each breakfast is served.  We brew the coffee with filtered water.  We have two mottos at the Deutsche Strasse Bed and Breakfast.  One is, “Wake up and smell the coffee,” and the second is, “There is always room for a dessert at breakfast.”
